They still grow wild

Like small fires, these flowers. I feel somebody already painted this picture before.

Mufta

One of my favorite things in Paris is to walk in Marais and the Quartier Latin. I know I'm not the only one. And stop for a coffee at one of the cafés, look at people, hear french, visit some galleries. Go up to Rue Mouffetard. When I first came to Paris in 2010 one of the first places I went to was Rue Mouffetard. My friends were suggesting some places to go and all I could understand then, I didn't speak french yet, was Mufta. It sounded very soft, and looked like that too. Yesterday I found out that Paul Verlaine, the poet, used to live there too.

Eagles

As I came here to shoot some photos, I saw a big eagle getting off from one tree. I'm fairly certain it was an eagle and not a hawk as it was so big and majestic. It was sitting very close to the ground in this forest which made the forest feel very special. Also so far, during this one year that I have now lived near this forest, I have spotted two deers, a lot of swans and geese at the lake nearby, some rabbits, a cat with one eye, many hunters and their dogs and many other dogs. Once my friend saw a dead fox too. And I've seen also a lot of signs of the wild boars, that I would be extremely interested to see, but they are probably not so keen on me, hence the hunters. One sunday morning I saw a lot of blood on the forest road. I guess the area is not called Bois-le-Roi for nothing.

Spring break

First signs of spring in France.. The light mostly, also birds are going a bit nuts, and some white flowers, wood anemones on the sides of the roads.

Heat

Somehow this photo could be a printed fabric or a heartbeat of a club dj. I feel I really want to go there in the arbour and hide and run. There's a dog hiding in this picture- it ran there from somewhere behind me when I was taking the photo..  You can see it if you pay attention. The fact that it ran there makes it even more beating, a poser that suddenly got very shy. I took it in the Hampstead Heath in London.

Pompi d o u

Photos from the top of the Pompidou Centre. Amazing view over Paris, worth the visit just because of this. Also one of the best places to see art in Paris. This time the exhibition was the Surrealistic Objects- Magritte, Man Ray, Duchamp etc. Here's my top three art centres of Paris:

1. Palais de Tokyo, always good exhibitions and a lot of things to see that is hard to find anywhere else and the downstairs of Palais de Tokyo is my favorite exhibition place anywhere, so beautiful and interesting space.

2. Gallery tour in Marais, no matter when you go, you can really visit as many good exhibitions as you want. A lot of good galleries right next to each other. Get off in St Paul Metro and walk away from the Seine, away from the shopping streets- after you'll find the galleries.

3. Pompidou, this view and quite good exhibitions, and very amazing book shop.

+1, if you walk around the art district of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, among the commercial galleries you'll find some pearls and in the Rue Bonaparte, there's the École des Beaux Arts, that has the most beautiful inner yard. I already shared some photos of that in my blog. Also you can walk straight into the students galleries if you're brave enough..
